The Michael LoConti Music Foundation was created to honor Michael’s love for music and his passion for helping others. Each year, on February 28th, the anniversary of Michael’s passing, we provide selected recipients with access to music lessons and instruments. Offering support to those who may not otherwise have the opportunity or financial means to explore their creativity through music.

If you or someone you know is between the ages of 5 and 25 and could benefit from this kind of support, we invite you to apply below.

WHO CAN APPLY

Applicants must be between the ages of 5 and 25.

Must reside in the Greater Cleveland area.

Applicants may be musicians, singers, producers, or anyone actively interested in pursuing music.

Applications may be submitted by a parent, legal guardian, or representative on behalf of a minor.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Applicants will be evaluated based on:

  • Passion for music

  • Personal story of loss

  • Demonstrated finacial need

  • Potential for growth and impact

Social media accounts & submitted performance samples may also be considered in the review process.

KEY DATES

Application Period: Opens December 11, 2025 — Michael’s birthday — and closes January 31, 2026.

Review Period: February 1–27, 2026

Award Selection: February 28, 2026 — in honor of the anniversary of Michael’s passing. Selected applicants will be contacted after March 1st.

Note: We anticipate that the foundation’s giving may expand in the future, potentially with multiple rounds per year & increase gifting.
